We raise heritage breed Tamworth and Tamworth – Berkshire cross pigs. They have a strong natural foraging instinct that makes them perfect for the type of farming we do. Because we rotate them onto fresh ground frequently they always get to benefit from what their natural environment is producing. We call them our “Pecan Tams” because the pecans that fall from the 40+ pecan trees on our property supplement their diet, and THEY LOVE IT! Making our pigs happy, makes us happy. And, we hope our efforts will in turn make you and your taste buds happy.

Our flock of 100 laying hens is a source of constant joy. Like our pigs, we rotate our hens around the pasture so that they have access to new vegetation and bugs regularly. We supplement their diet with certified organic feed because we believe that what they eat will eventually affect what you eat. In our flock we have New Hampshire Reds, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Buff Orpingtons, Black Giants, and Americaunas. These ladies are the busy bodies of the farm, always clucking about something, and from the moment we picked them up from the Sparta P. O. we’ve enjoyed their company as well as their eggs.

The farm is also home to a small herd of goats the we rotationally graze and use as our “clean up crew” around the farm. Rounding out our animals we have: four donkeys, two mules, three farm dogs, three farm kittens, and one house cat.
